Donald “Don” Moon was born in Indianapolis, IN to Clarence and Marie Moon. He is preceded by his brother, Dr. Richard Moon of Tampa, FL. He has 3 children, Cindi Moon, Indianapolis, Marcia Miller & JJ, Indianapolis, and son Jake Moon. Also, one grandson, Robert Greene of Noblesville, IN. He is survived by his wife, Jane after 37 years of marriage. They moved to Brandon, FL in 2002 from Greenwood, IN.
Don was a retired dentist with his practice in Whiteland, IN for 40+ years. After moving to Florida, he decided to find a part time job at Home Depot, retiring from that in 2008. Don had several passions, which always involved “volunteering” with focus of helping people. Upon arrival in Florida, he renewed his membership in the ELKS. He became an active member of Brandon Elks 2383 and enjoyed several different positions at the local, state and Grand Lodge level. He also loved boating and traveling in recreational vehicles. So many friends were made from the Elks family and camping primarily in later life, in Florida and the Smokey Mountains. He also always had his beloved dogs by his side.
Cards may be sent to Jane Moon, 1656 Open Field Loop, Brandon, FL 33510. No flowers at Celebration of Life please, but contributions in Don’s name to Florida Elks Harry Anna Trust, P. O.
