Dennis Paul Tousignant, 72 years of age, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at AdventHealth Riverview in Riverview, FL. Dennis grew up in the North Attleboro, MA area and graduated from Bishop Feehan High School. Dennis would later obtain the Degree of Bachelor of Arts Behavioral Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2002.
Dennis was born June 9, 1952 in Providence, RI to the late Elizabeth (Tingley) and Raymond Tousignant. He was the youngest of four children.
Dennis moved to Colorado in 1973, with his Brother Kenneth, following their older brother Raymond out west. Dennis worked at Coors Brewing Company, with his brothers, where he would continue to work until retirement. In 2022, Dennis moved to Florida to live out his retirement with his son Nicholas, daughter in-law Bailee and two grandsons Noah and Ethan.
Dennis had a love for the outdoors and all that entailed. When his children were younger, he enjoyed going on drives with them through the Rocky Mountains; and was always the first to spot wildlife. Dennis was an avid reader and passed his love for books down to his children. He enjoyed the movies and would often go to “double features”. Dennis had a sense of humor that would either crack you up or make your eyes roll. He never knew a stranger and would chat up anybody willing to listen. In his later years, Dennis enjoyed nothing more than boating with his family, often saying “this is the life”.
Dennis is survived by his son Nicholas Tousignant (Bailee) and daughters Aubrey McLellan (Cody), Alyssa Tousignant (Matt) and Rhianna Tousignant-Hanley and ; sister Joyce Tousignant; 6 grandsons, Wyatt Visage, Noah Tousignant, Ethan Tousignant, Samuel Knott, Lucas McLellan, and Oliver McLellan; and granddaughters, Penelope Knott and Hadley Knott.
Dennis is preceded in death by his spouse Corene Geist; parents, Elizabeth and Raymond Tousignant; his brothers, Raymond Tousignant and Kenneth Tousignant; daughters Ashley Tousignant and Alexia Tousignant; and 1 nephew.
