Obituary for Daniel "Danny" Henry Lesko
Daniel Henry Lesko

LESKO, Daniel Henry "Danny", 63, of Brandon, FL, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Brandon Regional Hospital of complications from a series of strokes. He was born December 10, 1950 in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Dr. Stephen William Lesko and Genevieve Ciesla Lesko. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anne Lesko Carson and Joan Lesko Cedzidlo and is survived by his brothers, Dr. William Stephen Lesko, and his wife Joan Capizzano Lesko, Franklin Lakes, NJ and Stephen William Lesko, and his wife Karin Lillja Lesko, Ringwood, NJ; many nieces and nephews, Cecily Lesko, Karen Cedzidlo, Alyssa Lesko Noli, Kristin Lesko Reniers, Lauren Lesko, William Lesko, Jr., Gregory Lesko, Glenn Lesko, Timothy Lesko, David Carson, Christopher Carson, Richard Cedzidlo, Martin Cedzidlo and Steven Cedzidlo; as well as his many great-nieces and nephews; Emma Lesko, Elise Lesko, Alexandra Lesko, Christina Carson, Emilia Noli, Genevieve Reniers, Helen Cedzidlo, Graham Lesko, Matthew Lesko, Charlie Lesko, William Lesko, Chad Carson, Alessandro Noli, Matthew Cedzidlo and Joseph Cedzidlo. Despite his disabilities, he had a unique ability to touch each person he met by taking a keen interest in their interest in sports, music, movies, pets, food and life. His collection of hats and logo T-shirts runs in the hundreds. He especially loved everyone with warm greetings of a big Hello, high five or fist bump. A longtime resident of Wallington, New Jersey, he was an avid follower of Wallington High School sports, being recognized by the Athletic Department as "Wallington High School's Greatest Fan". He was also a loyal follower of the Volunteer Fire Company #3 in Wallington. A friend to everyone he met, Danny will be remembered for his breadth of interests. He enjoyed annual fishing trips to New Jersey and Vermont, as well as deep sea fishing. As a sports fan, he stayed loyal to the local teams of his youth, the Giants and the Yankees, although he came to root for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with much enthusiasm. His love of music was eclectic - from Frank Sinatra to Glenn Miller to Linda Ronstadt's jazz classic album "Lush Life" - as well as his own renditions of favorites on his electric guitar. He was always ready for a movie, a stage show, a dinner out or a trip to Disney World.
