Obituary for Daniel Charles Poole
Daniel Charles Poole, age 70, passed away peacefully from a lifelong battle with type 1 diabetes on June 4, 2021 surrounded by his wife and children at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. Daniel was the cherished son of George and Nancy Poole of Catskill, NY and the loving and devoted husband of Suzanne Decker Poole. Daniel and Suzanne were happily married for 49 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings David Poole and Annie of NY, Denise Jangrow of NY, and Darryl Poole of OK, and his children Nancy Barr & Steve of MD, Aimee Meguin and Sean of NY, Rebecca Wright & Justin of FL, Michael Poole and Linda of FL, Elisabeth Brown and Shawn of FL, and Sarah DeLoach and Cody of FL. He was adored and admired by his 12 grandchildren, Briana, Zachary, Gabriella, Cameron, Hannah, Aubrey, Christian, Hailey, Zoey, Lexia, Nathan and Jeremiah. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with a heart of gold. As a musician, Guitar Dan touched many lives through his performances and passion for preserving early country and western music. His sense of humor and charisma turned strangers to friends within moments. His love of music, camping, car shows, boating, motorcycles, faith and family is now a legacy which his family is proud to carry on. His wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 12th between 2 and 5 o'clock p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Seffner.
