Charlotte Ann Scogin Lynch, 79, of Brandon, was born April 28, 1943 in Jasper, Alabama and left this world for her heavenly home on October 21, 2022. Preceded in death by the love of her life, Wayne, and her daughter Andrea, Charlotte (Nana) is survived by her four grandchildren, Bekka, Zach, Marissa and Mikalah, her sister Gale (Jim) Wallace and several nieces and nephews.
The Scogin family moved to the Tampa area in 1946, settling in Brandon in 1948. Mr. and Mrs. Scogin established a dry goods store which, nurtured by Charlotte, sister Gale and brothers Al and Buck, became the clothing store so many Brandonites grew to love for the latest in fashion.
Also a successful real estate agent in the area, Charlotte and her husband Wayne, were known for love and care in every transaction. Many long-time friendships were established with both buyers and fellow agents.
Charlotte and Wayne were charter members of Bell Shoals Baptist Church and were the first couple married in the “new” sanctuary, December 6, 1963. Faithful to her Savior all her life, Charlotte was a mentor to many who accepted Jesus. Her quiet walk and bold talk were her ministry. She loved her Lord and Savior!
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in the Chapel at Bell Shoals Church, with the family to receive friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Samaritans Purse in memory of Charlotte Lynch.
