Obituary for Charles Conrad Brady Jr.
Charles Conrad Brady, Jr.

BRADY, Jr., Charles Conrad, 58, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on December 26th, 2016 after a fatal car accident. Born in El Paso, TX on June 11, 1958 to Charles Brady Sr. and Darlene Brady. He graduated from Interstate Christian School in 1976 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science and Business Management from Texas A&M in College Station, TX. He was a proud Marine, serving in the USMC from 1977-1988. During that time he was an air traffic controller and received multiple awards and commendations for his excellent service to our country. He was also a highly regarded umpire, serving as Operation Manager for Tournament Showcase Sports Officials and as Director of UmpNation. He was married to Edith Leah Brady who, as he often said, completed him and gave him two great step-sons, Eli & Preston Stone. His son, David, brought him immeasurable joy and made him proud to be a father. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jacob Brady and Don & Louis Tiejema, his father Charles Brady Sr., his sister, Deborah Sherwood and his brother-in-law, Steve Green. He is survived by his wife, Leah; step-sons, Eli & Preston; son, David Brady, Burleson, TX; mother, Darlene Brady, Plant City, FL; step-grandmother, Bertha Brady; brother-in-law, Steve Sherwood, Riverview, FL; sister, Brenda Green, Plant City, FL; sister and family, Becky & Jerry Jackson and sons, Edmonton, Alberta Canada; sister and family, Cheryl & Mike Grover and daughters, Bradenton, FL; brother and family, Steve & Laura Brady and children Plant City, FL; brother, Jim & Melissa Brady, Spring Hill, TN; sister and family, Marla & Keith Henry and sons, Spring Hill, TN. Chuck and Leah had two sweet dogs, Reese and Edith Ann. Edith Ann was named by a person at the pet shelter where she was rescued from, which made her all the more a part of the family. Chuck loved God and his family with his whole heart, giving his friends and family fond memories that will last forever. As he often said, he made a few wrong turns and went down a few roads best untaken, but he experienced the grace and redemption of God that changed his life forever and for the better. He lived a life of exclamation points, with a boundless energy for each day, making those around him long for his same exuberance for life. The light he brought to this world will be sorely missed, but carried on by those who loved him so dearly.
