Jennings Jr., Charles E. known as ‘Chuck’ passed from this life to glory on January 18, 2023. He was born
August 18, 1935, and was a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Chuck was well respected by
those in the business community and loved by his church family as well. He served as a Deacon at First
Baptist Church Brandon; he opened the Valrico location of Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Company in
1974; he then went on to open Jennings & Associates, an independent insurance agency, in 1984 which
he sold and merged with a new family, Acentria Insurance, a few years ago; and he was also a part
owner and board member at Valrico State Bank that opened in 1985. Chuck is preceded in death by his
devoted and loving wife of 54 years, Jane Jennings who passed in December of 2019 and son, Trenton
Jennings who passed in December of 1989. He is survived by his children, Tamela Jennings-Diaz (Mike)
and Connie Quesada, who came into the family 38 years ago; sisters, Jean Brown, Sue Shamblin, and
Nellie Jo Williams; three grandchildren, Trenton Alexander Garcia, Charles Michael Diaz, and Emily
Helms; as well as several much-loved nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at
First Baptist Church of Brandon on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 5 PM with family receiving friends one
hour prior in the sanctuary. Those who wish, can make donations to LifePath Hospice- Sapphire Team.
