Charles Barclay Whitmore
WHITMORE, Charles Barclay "Whit", 81, of Seffner, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013. Born and raised in Hartford, CT, he was a proud member of the US Air Force and was stationed at MacDill AFB. After his discharge, he lived the rest of his life in Tampa. He was a graduate of Florida Southern College and for a number of years he was the branch manager of Fruehauf Trailer Sales. He later founded Oil Purification Systems, Inc. and held several patents regarding the process. He is survived by his loving former wife, Donna King; granddaughter, Kimberly Whitmore Haydt and great-grandson, Braeden Haydt, of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his sons, Barclay Sherrill Whitmore and Charles Barclay Whitmore.
