Carla Kayleen (Vint) Wynn, 79, of Brandon, Florida, passed away on December 7, 2023, with her loving husband of sixty-one years by her side. Carla was born on March 22, 1944, to Carlton H. and Clarice M. Vint in Salina, Kansas. It was there she wed Ernest L. Wynn. Upon his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, they moved to Hillsborough County, Florida and raised their family of three children: Gregory, Tamara, and Christine. After graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Education, Carla taught at several parochial schools. Her first teaching job was at Providence Baptist School in 1970 and she concluded her career teaching elementary grades at Mango Baptist School. She inspired countless students and cherished the many dear friends she made as a teacher. Carla took great pride in her Kansas heritage, and passionately valued her family. She was an avid reader with a wonderful sense of humor and most recently pleasantly surprised herself playing piano music memorized in her youth. Carla enjoyed beach vacations and cherished excursions to Walt Disney World theme parks. She is survived by her husband, Ernest L. Wynn; her son, Gregory L. Wynn (Theresa) and daughter, Tamara K. Pinkard (Mark), as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services are private.
