On January 2nd, 2025, we lost Bob Hardy, 81, a loving husband, father of four, and Pops to eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Bob was born on September 7th, 1943, in Lynn, Massachusetts to Dot and Larry Hardy. As a teenager, he fell in love with everything that had an engine. He joined the Air Force at the age of 19 where he put his passion into a job as an aircraft mechanic. After serving his country, Bob found a career in scrap metal management at Reynold’s Aluminum.
Along with Bob’s passion of cars, he enjoyed bowling fanatically. His career average was a 205. He lost his count of perfect games throughout his bowling career. If you could not find Bob with Bev, the love of his life, you would find him at the bowling alley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly Hardy: children Rob Hardy, Allison Arnold, Stephanie and Frank Pfister and Steve and Cynde Hardy. Bob was an amazing Pops to his grandchildren: Megan, Robbie, Kimberly, Valerie, Zack, Tanner, Jake, Hayley, Luke, Payton, and Nick. His great grandchildren are Kaiden, Raelyn, Jackson and Landon. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Stanley. His dogs Rex and Winston were his four-legged companions.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at Baylife Church in Brandon. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations be made to Payton’s Legacy at https://www.paytonslegacy.org/.
