Benjamin “Ben” Kincaid Stephens was born in Columbus, Ohio, on October 14, 1995, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 30, 2024, at the young age of 28, following a tragic car accident. A Gahanna Lincoln High School graduate, Ben relocated to Lutz, Florida, in 2021.
With his kind heart and infectious smile, Ben left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His profound love for animals, especially his two dogs and several turtles, was a testament to his gentle disposition. From an early age, Ben's creative spirit was evident in his passion for the culinary arts, which led him into the culinary profession in adulthood. When he wasn’t in the kitchen creating delicious dishes, he enjoyed fishing, emersed within the peace and tranquility of nature. Ben was also a loyal lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan and often sported a jersey on game days. His most admirable trait was his unwavering dedication to helping those in need, a quality that served as a beacon of light within the community. His life is a vivid example of living life to its fullest and relishing the moment. Although he departed from this world far too soon, he left it a better place.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roger Tisher, and his paternal grandmother, Dolores Stephens. He is survived by his loving family: his fiancé Cienna Bolles; his son, Kaison Matthew Peters; his father, Robert Stephens(Shannon); his mother, Michelle Stephens; his brother, Christopher Stephens; his maternal grandmother, Sandy Tisher; his paternal grandfather Henry R. Stephens; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Ben's legacy of kindness, passion, and adventure will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. While his absence is deeply felt, his memory will never fade, a testament to his lasting impact on our lives.
