Obituary for Barney L. Purcell
Barney Purcell, 64, of Brandon, was carried home on February 17,2021 with his family by his side. He was loved as a father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed fishing with Grapehammock being his favorite place. He was a racer in his younger years and enjoyed watching in his later years. Spending time with family and friends was the highlight of his day.
He will forever be remembered by his wife and best friend of 33 years Diane Purcell. Children, Samantha Farmer, Sandra (Timothy)Farmer, Serena (Larry) Purcell, Barney (Tiffany)Purcell Jr., & Bryan Purcell. He also had 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Brothers Ernest (Debbie)Purcell, Ronald (Christine)Purcell, Clinton (Tara)DeVault, William Purcell, Charles Purcell, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Marveline DeVault, and his Father Ernest Purcell. The celebration of Barney’s life will be held on Saturday March 6, 2021 at HighPoint Church of Brandon, located at 2207 Lithia-Pinecrest Rd. Valrico, Fl. 33596, at 12:00 pm. Flowers may be sent to the church.
