Obituary for Barbara Ann Rhodes

Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Barbara Ann (Schreck) Rhodes, who passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on February 3, 1937, in Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of William and Alice Schreck.

She married the love of her life, Richard A. Rhodes, in 1955, and together they shared 62 beautiful years.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Andrew Rhodes (Cecile), Linda Hinkle and Susan Singletary (Phillip); her five cherished grandsons, Chris Hinkle (Margie), Sean Singletary (Amy), Steven Hinkle (Bryanna), David Hinkle and Richard B. Rhodes; her seven precious great-grandchildren, Emily Singletary, Grant Singletary, Isabella Hinkle, Zoey Hinkle, Ruby Hinkle, Joshua Frazier Hinkle and Ayden Hinkle. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her son, William and her brother, Donald.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Dr, Riverview, FL with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services.
