Anna L. Tyler, 100, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 1, 2017. She was born on November 15, 1917, the eldest daughter of the late B.J. and Susie Sweat. She was a graduate of Wimauma High School, and her first job was at Kresss Department store in Tampa. She and Philip Tyler were married on February 26, 1938. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She always had a pound cake ready for all to enjoy. Anna loved Jesus and was a member of Balm Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was very active in her church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and working with WMU(Womens Missionary Union). She loved to travel with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Tyler, her brother, Pasco Sweat, and her sister, Merle Watts. She is survived by her sons, Wes Tyler and wife Judy; Blake Tyler and wife Brenda; and Lee Tyler and wife Patty; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton, FL.
