Alvena “Judy” Knowles at age 104 joined her husband Francis “Punch” Knowles in death, passing peacefully at 8am on July 23rd with her two sons at her side. Judy was born Alvena Wentzel in Poseyville, Indiana. She resided at The Crossings of Riverview, Florida near her son Mike for the past 1.5 years. She was a resident of Lakeland, FL since 1988. Judy is survived by two sons, Mike Knowles of Riverview, FL and Bill Knowles of Hickory, NC, her Grandson John Knowles of Chico, CA and their wives Pam, Gail Latouf and Susie.
Visitation is 10:30am and a Mass of the Resurrection will follow Saturday August 10 at 11am in Lakeland, Florida at Resurrection Catholic Church 333 Terrace Way, Lakeland, FL 33813. Mass will be live streamed to YouTube. We welcome friends of any denomination. A lunch gathering for all will follow the Mass.
November 18th at 11am there will be a final burial reuniting Judy with her husband at the columbarium at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. This would have been her 105th Birthday.
