Obituary for Agostinho Rocha
The family of Agostinho Rocha of Riverview, Florida, formerly of East Brunswick, NJ, are saddened to announce his passing on September 8, 2021 at the age of 87 years. He was born to his parents Benedicto Rocha and Aurora Rodrigues Rocha in São Paulo, Brazil. He came to the United States in 1964, and once established here, he brought his family over in 1965. He loved his adopted country and was thankful for the opportunities he had. He was an immensely loved person, and a faithful, adoring husband and father. By trade, he was a diesel mechanic and held as many as three jobs just to provide for his family.
Agostinho was a kind, responsible, fun loving man who had a passion for fishing, watching soccer, and enjoying time with his family. He was loved by everyone for his sense of humor, and jovial personality. He leaves behind his wife of almost 63 years, Alice D. Rocha, three daughters, Monica R. Peñaherrera (predeceased, her husband, Patrick Peñaherrera), Marcia R. Merz and her husband James Merz, Maria Alice R. Peñaherrera and her husband Luis Peñaherrera , and six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Patricio Peñaherrera , his wife Keri, and his children Noah and Evan, Robert Peñaherrera and his husband Joseph Mercandante, Christopher Peñaherrera, Anna Maria Peñaherrera, Antonio Peñaherrera, and Sophia Peñaherrera.
